An advantage for patients to come to the East Coast Tubal Ligation Reversal Center is the faculty. Drs. Bateman and Williams are subspecialty certified in infertility (Reproductive Endocrinology and
Infertility) by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Bateman founded the IVF
program in Charlottesville, VA, in 1986 and has been performing tubal reversal surgery since 1980. Dr. Williams joined Dr. Bateman in 2001 and also regularly performs tubal reversal surgery.
Dr. Bruce Bateman is a native of Georgia. He is married with two daughters. Dr. Bateman completed his college at the University of Georgia and graduated in 1970 from the Medical College of Georgia.
He undertook residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Virginia. He then completed a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Virginia. Dr. Bateman served as the Director of the Division of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery for 10 years and was the Co-Director of the In Vitro Fertilization program. Dr. Bateman's training and infertility experience make him one of the most qualified fertility specialists in Virginia and the surrounding areas.
Dr. Bateman founded the In Vitro Fertilization Program here in Charlottesville, VA in 1986. He was on the UVA Faculty for 24 years. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is sub-specialty certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is a member of the Society of Reproductive Surgeons. He has been named one of the “Nation’s Top Doctor’s” beginning in 1996.
Dr. Christopher Williams is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist, infertility specialist. He is a native of Virginia growing up in Reston, Virginia. He is married and has three children - two boys and a girl. He attended the College of William & Mary earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
He then graduated from the University of Virginia Medical School in 1994 to complete his medical education.
Following medical school, Dr. Williams went to Charlotte, North Carolina, to undertake a four year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Carolinas Medical Center.
Dr. Williams was selected in 1998 by The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to complete a three-year Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Williams served on the UVA Faculty from 2001 to 2005 and was Co-Director of the In Vitro Fertilization Program.
Dr. Williams is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and sub-specialty certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is a member of the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
He is the author of a fertility book for couples sold internationally, The Fastest Way to Get Pregnant Naturally. Dr. Williams is fluent in Spanish is a great asset to our Spanish speaking couples.
